Summer Series: writers wanted

Believe it or not, summer is almost here! And that means Summer Series!!! My fave series where we feature law students, law grads, and 0Ls who share their summer with us. Over the past years, we’ve heard from students whose passion for the law is re-ignited during their summer internships, students who discover exactly what kind of lawyer they want to be; we hear from Law grads who use their strength and grit to get through the Bar exam & empower all of us to keep fighting for our goals; and we hear from incoming students who are bright-eyed and ready to take on this new, difficult challenge. And the best part is that they are all Latinas! From all over the U.S. doing the work and improving this profession one lawyer at a time.

If you’re interested in being featured please fill out this form here by May 1.

What does a feature entail? Normally, it’s a short blog post describing your summer and lessons learned. But I also got to get the times and know not everyone is about a written blog. So this year’s option includes doing an instagram takeover instead (or as well). We’ll see what the interest is like and see what works best for people.

Additionally, participants can be as anonymous as they wish—there’s no need to name where you’re working or other details you’re not comfortable sharing!

I appreciate everyone’s willingness to volunteer with this series—I really do think that seeing a diverse array of Latinas going into different areas of the law inspires others to see themselves and that’s the whole point of this site! While this is unpaid, I will be providing participants with some Latinas Uprising swag as a thank you.
