Juicing: Easy Green Juice Breakfast Options
I’ve mentioned before how I used to not eat breakfast for like ever–I just was never hungry in the mornings, but that’s like the worst thing to do. A few years ago I started making smoothies, which were filling but still filled with lots of sugar due to the flavored yogurt and bananas.
Then about a year ago, friends and I did a cleanse together that was more to just do something together. The cleanse consisted of green juice in the morning and I became a convert. Many think that in order to juice you have to use a juicer, but I think it’s better to use a blender so that you can still get the benefits from the pulp of the fruits and veggies.
For me, green juice as my breakfast is go-to because it’s tasty, filling, and healthy. I make about 28 to 32 ounces, which is a lot. But because I have so much it takes me a while to drink so that keeps me busy at work so that I’m not tempted to buy coffee or other breakfast foods.
If you’re looking for easy breakfast options that aren’t arduous but keep you full until lunch then I really recommend green juice for breakfast!
Here are my favorite combos:
- Orange, strawberries, pineapple, chia seeds
- Pineapple, mint, cucumber, avocado
- Banana, orange, pineapple, cilantro (avocado pit)
All the juices start with spinach/water base (though you can really play around with this). Two things that give the juice extra ammo is that I use a peeler to peel my orange so that I still keep a lot of the nutrients.
The second thing is that I recently started added avocado pit to my juices, which I really recommend! The pit is filled with a ton of nutrients and I’m seriously so sad about all the pits I’ve thrown away in my life!
