June was filled with nonstop activity. Though it started with me catching Covid so the first week I was quarantining at home. Thankfully, because I’m vaxxed and boosted, the symptoms were pretty mild. The worst of it was the first few days (an intense cough, shortness of breath, sinus pressure) but after it was mostly just a cough. I’m really glad because it could have been way worse (esp those with long-term symptoms). Wear a mask, ppl! I got a little too relaxed I’m certain that’s why I caught it. Sidebar: So Many Parties
August was a whirlwind. There was a lot of events left and right, both at work and home. At work, we had like a million going away parties–ok, just four, but still a massive amount. We’ve had a lot of turnover lately for various reasons and of course that means we have goodbye parties for everyone. And while I like all my coworkers, just like Animal Farm, some are more liked than others lol #kanyeshrug. Meaning, I was really bummed when one of them left b/c we were work buds. New Year Motivation
A reader had the brilliant idea to share some motivational movies/reading materials for people pursuing the law. And what a better time to get some motivation than during the new year! For those on break, take the time to read or watch things that will inspire you to take on spring semester. For those practicing, any time is a good time to be reminded of why we do this.
