Gift Guide: Attorneys

It’s the holiday season! First, has anyone watched the HBO documentary on Latino music? I watched it a few weeks ago and have such a deep and new appreciation for Jose Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad. Totally didn’t know his journey and the racism he faced, so Feliz Navidad to those that celebrate!

Anyway, even if you don’t, it’s always exciting to give and receive gifts. Here are some ideas to get for the attorney in your life (or if you were just recently sworn in: treat yo self!):

  1. Stylish office supplies. I say no to overly feminine office material, but sleek pieces do exist. It may not seem useful but sometimes it’s the little things that make your office feel more like you.
  2. Office art. It depends on the office and space, but having art on the wall makes you feel like you’re not just working in a blank box like a drone. I recently put up these two new pieces, but even abstract prints work–just make sure to include the frame!
  3. Nice wine/liquor. I mean, duh. And if you’re really fancy, you can enroll them in wine of the month-like club.
  4. Cashmere shawl. Offices are cold! It’s a sexist conspiracy (kind of only joking), everyone needs a sweater for work, but few will splurge to get themselves something as nice as cashmere, but it’s such an awesome gift if you can swing it.
  5. Gym class. If you know you’re attorney is a gym buff or likes trying classes, consider purchasing a gift card for classes–or a one-month ClassPass so they can try different things.
  6. Skincare gift set. Now, skin care is a little personal, but this is a great time to splurge and gift something that’s not super ordinary. The key is getting something that’s more like a luxury/pamper item rather than a routine skincare product. Although your person might have specified their preferred products in the past so you might know!
